Velotteria

This was a pretty fun project for me, I even got to model my own bike! I work at a bike shop on the weekends, and I had a blast collecting reference and trying to nail down the nostalgic feeling I get from being at the shop.  This was one of the first scenes I took to Unreal! I wanted to capture a slow afternoon in a small shop that's been run by a family and capture the feeling of history in a space. Modeled in Blender, Textured in Substance, Rendered and Lit in Unreal.

The Albatross

For "The Albatross" I chose to attempt to recreate a 3D version of a 40's Era Air Travel poster. I've always loved the graphic shapes and bold colors mixed with pastel tones. It was an awesome but challenging experience experimenting with Unreal's node systems and learning how to create and adapt materials and shaders both made in and out of Unreal to match the style.

Basil and the Isles of Spice

I was fortunate enough to be a part of Team Leviathan in my Final Years at Digipen Institute of Technology working on Basil and the Isle of Spice as a student game project. I learned a whole lot as the Game's Lead Environment artist working in a pretty big team of 28 people. It was super rewarding to work with likeminded artists, programmers and designers to create an awesome game that went on to be published on Steam and recieve a nomination for Unity's 2024 Student Game of the Year Award.

Rosario's Cafe

Rosario's Cafe is an environment I created originally as a 3D Interior and wanted to flush out more. Super inspired by the artwork behind the film Luca at the time. Modelled/laid out in Blender and Maya, Textured in Substance and Rendered in Marmoset, with the Exterior paintings done in Photoshop

Retro Stylized City

This project was a fun exercise in Blender, with an emphasis on building stylized shaders. My goal was to learn to create shaders within blender to capture some of the nostalgia in 90's anime. Loved working on this one, It was a great excuse to watch some awesome films like Tekkonkinkreet, Akira and Ghost in the Shell.  I'd like to try and recreate this in Unreal! The shaders don't quite work the same way, so it'd be interested to give it a try.

Pajero

This was my first real attempt modelling a vehicle. At the time the Dakar Rally was going on and I was super inspired by the engineering and the vast landscapes that the rally covered.  Modeled in Blender, Textured in Substance and Rendered in Marmoset

The Garage

' The Garage" was a super fun project that I'd love to take into 3D. I had a blast designing a space that I would be a "Dream Garage". I laid out a floor plan and set up the scene roughly in Maya 3D to really get familiar with the space.

Unreal Relighting

Some  fun Unreal relighting exercises to explore Unreal's Realtime and Static lighting systems.  Pretty interesting getting to know the tools, capabilities and limitations of Unreal.  Scenes from Unreal Marketplace.
